TruLine was founded to serve corporations and small businesses, law firms, private individuals, and partners in the investigations and security industry. TruLine provides clients a “white glove” experience on the consultancy side, and a relentless pursuit of finding and documenting the truth on the investigative side. In simplest terms, TruLine exists to catch stuff on the front end with their security expertise to identify and mitigate threats to employees, intellectual property, business operations, and brand, and there to help clients gather facts and circumstances on the back end, with their professional investigative expertise.
Meet the Founders
Willem “Will” Banis
Founder
Willem “Will” Banis, brings over three decades of experience to TruLine. Will retired following a successful 34-year career of combined military and civil service; 27-years in federal law enforcement and counterintelligence as a Supervisory Special Agent. Will is excited to bring his decades of leadership, investigative, and operational security experience to the private sector.
As a senior leader in government, Will led many award-winning teams, recognized for superior performance and excellence in both law enforcement, and national security. He worked extensively with domestic and foreign law enforcement and security agencies, developing, and cultivating key relationships and highly effective partnerships to protect employees, worldwide operations, sensitive information, and technology from a myriad of complex criminal, fraud, terrorist, foreign intelligence, cyber, and insider threats. Will has led operational oversight and support to agency wide law enforcement investigations and operations conducted at over 300 locations around the globe. He later served as the Inspector General (IG) for the Department of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) assessing enterprise effectiveness, compliance, readiness, complaints resolution, and internal affairs matters.
Dan Jernstedt
Founder
Daniel “Dan” Jernstedt brings over two decades of experience to the TruLine. Dan retired from active duty military service following more than 20 years of specialized experience in disaster preparedness and emergency planning, vulnerability, and threat assessments, conducting complex felony level investigations and leading high performing counterintelligence teams protecting United States Department of Defense interests and equities both at home and abroad.
Dan has extensive experience in linking corporate vision with the delivery of desired results through collaboration, empowerment, development, and utilization of people, processes, and technology. After years of “front line” engagement with enemies posing both a threat to various DOD assets, Dan has developed a deep understanding of the processes and procedures for protecting people and information from adversarial threats, large and small.
